I didn't do it!

One thing that gets me is how much people plead their innocence when really I couldn't care less. Mainly because I only have the bare details of a job and I don't know what they are talking about.

Take for example this chap who was arrested for rape recently:

"It's so unfair, why now? Why?"
"Can't answer that sir, I have all the details on this bit of paper and top of the list is ARREST SUSPECT. Best you take up any complaint with however has accused you of it"
"But you must understand I didn't do it?!"
"How do I know that? I've only just met do you?"
""How could you take her word for it?"
"I didn't sir, in fact I don't even know who the complainant is"
"Why don't you know?
"My scrap bit of paper doesn't tell me that"
"Don't know a lot do you?"
"Quite right, I'm a mushroom I am"
"Can I have a fag?"
"No"
"How can you deny me that?"
"Easy, I just did"
"This is against my rights"
"You are under arrest sir, we have taken away your liberty"
"That's so wrong, and to arrest me at night as well"
"We tend not to make appointments sir"
"Why not? You know me, I wouldn't do anything"
"As I said I really don't know you sir, most of our customers run away when we turn up"
"What are those other officers doing in my house"
"They are looking for evidence relating to the offence"
"Why?! I didn't do anything!"
"Did you hear me when I said I didn't know you?"
"What is there to get?"
"Oh bedding, any evidence placing people at the scene, condoms, that sort of stuff"
"They are going through my bins? Fuck me, you really are taking the piss now"
"Not really"
"But I didn't do anything!"

Etc etc etc.... dull isn't it?
